
Edo State Government on Wednesday carried out its threat to bar unvaccinated persons from public places as it barred unvaccinated civil servants from entering government offices.
Clips on television stations on Wednesday some persons being being screened at gate of offices and some standing in disbelief over the development.
Osamwonyi Irowa, Permanent Secretary, Edo State Ministry of Health disclosed government position while addressing journalists on Tuesday.
He affirmed that only those with proof of vaccination will be allowed access into government facilities.
Irowa said that the move was the first phase of its enforcement of restriction on large public gatherings for persons without evidence of COVID-19 vaccination.
