DJ Tira’s wife is a beautiful woman known as Gugu Khathi. Although known by many as just DJ Tira’s wife, Gugu Khathi is a lot more than just that and has a bag of accomplishments to her name. She is an entrepreneur with an interest in the real estate industry and a keynote speaker and a TEDx Speaker.
In addition to that, Gugu Khathi is also a reality television star and is a former Real Housewives of Johannesburg cast member and she is also a social media influencer.
DJ Tira and Gugu Khathi are one of the hottest celebrity couples in South Africa. Whenever the two step out they do it in style and often serve hot couple goals. After dating for around 18 years, Gugu Khathi officially became DJ Tira’s wife after the two completed their marriage rituals in October 2016.
The couple held their Umabo ceremony to introduce Gugu to DJ Tira’s ancestors. The event was held at DJ Tira’s home in Kwa Hlabisa, in Kwa-Zulu Natal. In Zulu culture, the Umabo is the closing wedding ceremony where the bride and her family are introduced to the groom’s family and they bring gifts to the groom’s family.
For their Umabo ceremony, DJ Tira and his wife chose a black and white theme for their traditional outfits and cake and they looked absolutely stunning.

DJ Tira and his wife have been blessed with three beautiful children- two sons and a daughter called Junior, Chase, and Gigi.
The couple adores their children and despite their busy schedules, they both make time to spend with their children although they often avoid sharing photos of their children online, whenever they do, they often melt their fans’ hearts. In February 2022, rumours accusing DJ Tira of sleeping with Durban-based DJ Hlo emerged on social media. DJ Hlo jumped to fame in late 2021 after her song Isibani won the Ukhozi FM’s Song of The Year despite being fairly unknown by a lot of listeners.
Fans who couldn’t understand how DJ Hlo won the SOTY argued that the upcoming artist must have bribed someone at Ukhozi FM and it wasn’t long before some even speculated that she had slept with DJ Tira in return for the favour.
DJ Tira denied the allegations and even threatened to fight the fans who were spreading the propaganda.
