Floyd Shivambu quakes Mzansi as he announces his resignation from the Economic Freedom Fighters political party.
On Thursday, the Deputy President of EFF and member of parliament organised a press conference at Winnie Madikizela Mandela House in Marshalltown, Johannesburg, where he announced his next move.
“The Chairperson of Ward 44 Johannesburg has informed me that my membership of the EFF has lapsed. And I said: Please be informed that I will not renew my membership of the EFF in Ward 44 Johannesburg,” he said.
Julius Malema, who is the leader of the party accepted the resignation and told Floyd that he is welcome whenever he decides to return.
“Resigning from the EFF is equal to resigning from himself… The day he decides to come back, he was more than welcome,” Malema added.
