Intense Pain and Spinal Damage
The veteran musician opened up about her condition, revealing she suffers from severe pain in her waist, neck, and back. Doctors have identified that cartilage is missing between the bones in her spine, leading to intense and persistent discomfort.
“Two discs need to be repaired in my back,” she shared, stressing the urgency of her need for surgery.
Treatment Delays and Medication Struggles
Although Mcinga underwent an MRI scan in 2021, she has yet to be scheduled for surgery. Medical professionals remain cautiously optimistic but require additional tests before moving forward with her treatment.
In the meantime, she relies on strong painkillers to cope. “They just make me sleep. When I wake up, the pain is back,” she said.
