Gugu evicted from Big Brother Mzansi Umlilo! After days of dreaming about her eviction, Gugu, real name Nokulunga Ndabezitha, has officially become the fourth contestant to be sent home from Big Brother Mzansi: Umlilo. Despite her exit from the competition, she remains grateful for the experience and is looking forward to new opportunities.
Gugu had a premonition about her eviction, making the moment feel surreal when Smash Afrika finally called her name.
“When I had a dream about myself, because I hardly dream about myself, something told me this might really happen,” Gugu told TshisaLIVE. “I can’t wait to start my life over again. I’ve been wanting to be on Big Brother for so long, so this experience was great. I wouldn’t change it for the world. The dream definitely prepared me. The year just began, so I still have an advantage.”
While the competition was tough, Gugu believes her journey unfolded as it was meant to, expressing confidence that God’s will was at play throughout her time in the house.

Faith and Spirituality in the Big Brother House
One of the first things Gugu did upon leaving the house was pray—something she was unable to do properly due to the 24/7 surveillance inside.
“I didn’t want to lead with my calling. I really wanted to just come in as Gugu because, outside the house, I am known as the prophet,” she explained. “I just wanted to have a good time, and that’s exactly what I had.”
Although she embraced her spiritual gift, Gugu made a conscious decision to keep her calling in the background and focus on other aspects of her personality.
“Yes, I will always be gifted, but it’s not the main part of me. It’s just a part of me that is beautiful, but there is a lot more of me that I needed to showcase,” she shared.
She also acknowledged the stigma surrounding spiritual callings and wanted to demonstrate that gifted individuals are more than just their spiritual roles.
“It had to stop because I couldn’t light a candle. I didn’t want people to feel uncomfortable or to use it as a tactic to scare them. We try to debunk a lot of myths, so I am trying to get into a space where people are not afraid of our gifts. I wanted it to be a teachable moment.”
Gugu’s Strategy and Lessons Learned
Going into the Big Brother house, Gugu planned to present herself as a strict, older figure to command respect. She pretended to be 39 years old, even though she is only 34.
“I thought I should come in and play this strict person, but I realised I’m way too soft, and that strategy only lasted a week,” she admitted. “I wouldn’t change it because I loved how people respected me in the house.”
Despite her initial game plan falling apart, Gugu quickly adapted and found her authentic self in the house, which made the experience even more rewarding.
Life After Big Brother: New Goals and Aspirations
With her Big Brother journey behind her, Gugu is stepping back into the real world with a renewed sense of confidence.
“Coming out of the house, I feel more confident in myself, and I cannot wait to take over the world,” she declared.
Her future plans include returning to the corporate world, specifically in public relations and marketing, while also expanding her online content related to spirituality and self-growth.
“I used to post videos about spirituality, and people were interested,” she explained. “Now, I want to create content pieces that will help people whenever I am unable to assist them directly.”
She strongly believes that self-empowerment is key and wants to encourage people to tap into their own inner strength.
“As people, we can sometimes help ourselves without relying on healers,” she said. “Sometimes, the power is within you. The content I want to create will remind people of that.”
A New Beginning
Though her time in Big Brother Mzansi: Umlilo has come to an end, Gugu sees this as just the beginning of an exciting new journey. With fresh opportunities on the horizon, she is eager to use her platform to inspire, educate, and uplift others.
