The Pnet Job Market Trends report has revealed various job roles across the 11 different job sectors that have different required experience levels, ranging from low to medium to high and very high. This indicator implies how much experience one typically needs to secure this job role.
This comes after Pnet analysed thousands of jobs in the South African recruitment market over 2024 to reveal consistent and lasting opportunities in the local job market.
There are various job roles that require a low experience level in the following job sectors: Business & Management; Sales; Finance; IT (Information Technology); Admin, Office & Support; Building & Construction; Medical & Health; Cleaning, Maintenance & Repair; Engineering; Warehousing & Logistics; and Manufacturing & Assembly.
In terms of what a low experience level means, the report said: “Given one has the right skills set, a low experience level usually indicates that this job role is easily accessible without having worked in this kind of role for many years.”
