DURBANVILLE

BEST BET

RACE 6 NO 8 TIME FLIES – WIN

Brett Crawford appears to have quite a talented filly in Time Flies. Although now a four-year-old, this daughter of Dynasty has only raced four times for a win and three places. She goes 1800m for the first time which should be ideal, and with just 54kg and in-form Keagan de Melo up, she looks very hard to beat.

VALUE BET

RACE 5 NO 7 BONANZA – EACHWAY

There are times when one has to look at jockey engagements to give an indication of what a trainer is expecting from his runner and this looks to be the case with Bonanza. Firstly, Paul Reeves runner has won at Durbanville and that is important as not all horses enjoy this tight turning course.

Bonanza ran an improved race last time when third to Ragnar Lothbrok and out of the blue Reeves has engaged Richard Fourie to ride the Soft Falling Rain gelding. At 8-1 he is worth an eachway bet.
