
The lush green golf course of the Ibori Golf and Country Club (IGCC) would from June 17-18, 2022 host its inaugural tournament to usher in, Queen Mowah who became the 12th new lady captain of the club.
About 200 golfers from across the country as Aba Golf Club, Benin Golf Club, Python and Port Harcourt Golf Club from Rivers state among other notable are expected to participate in the two-day golfing event which is streamlined to be unique.
Attesting to the competence of the new lady captain, former LGAN Secretary, Sumbo Oshile described Queen Mowah as ‘a lady captain with a large heart in the State of The Big Heart’, thereby assuring participants of a well packaged and mind blowing event.
“Queen Mowah is evidently a born natural seasoned organiser who is Courteous, Charitable, Caring, Compassionate, Coordinated, Considerate, Confident golfer,” said Oshile, former lady captain of Ibadan Golf Club and Tiger Golf Club.
Explaining why the new lady captain deserved to be celebrated, Oshile noted that Queen Mowah has headed many planning committee in the IGCC and had successful over the years executed many golf tournament, and has done his best to enhance development of golf at the grassroots.
