After recording six straight wins by technical knock-out (TKO) and turning professional boxer the fear of Solomon Adebayo Imoleayo is now the beginning of wisdom for other heavyweight boxers in Nigeria.
Imoleayo who turned pro barely five months with his debut professional fight against Omejeh Chimaobi in Ibadan has become a terror in the Nigerian heavyweight category boxing circle as fellow boxers in that cadre taken to their heels at the mention of his name.
He is billed to fight on the Lewis Boxing Promotions Boxing Show slated for the May 21, 2022 at the Balmoral Hall of the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos.
Ironically, no Nigerian Heavyweight wants to fight him according to the promoter who is still busy shopping around for a credible opponent for him.
While remarking on the boxer, the General Secretary of the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control (NBBofC) and President of the West African Boxing Union, (WABU) Mr. Remi Aboderin described Imoleayo as “the next good thing in the heavyweight category to happen to Nigerian and world boxing.”
“I can confirm to you that in the heavyweight division in Nigeria presently, the mention of the name of Solomon Adebayo Imoleayo is the beginning of wisdom for other boxers in that category. I can assure you that he will bring honour to the country in a short while”, said Aboderin.
The heavy puncher who is under the Co-management of Devonne Canady Boss Lady Boxing Management and LPMG Boxing Management spear headed by Nigeria’s Nelson Ayelabowo and Malik Annur, also an American has said to be aspiring to surpass the record of the British born Nigerian boxer, Anthony Joshua in the heavyweight boxing category.
