Inkabi Zezwe’s long-awaited album, ‘Ukhamba’ has taken over the Top 100 Apple Music Chart in South Africa in only a matter of three days since its release.
Each song from the 12-track body of work has occupied placement on the chart, ranging between their double-platinum lead single, ‘Umbayimbayi’ which houses at number four, and ‘Impumelelo’ featuring Xowla at number 75.
This was always to be expected when two of South Africa’s biggest stars collaborate on a project. Both Big Zulu and Sjava are mammoths in the country’s music scene and they both tap into Maskandi, which is one of the biggest and most supported genres in SA.
