With Christmas merely days away, leading South African gospel ensemble Joyous Celebration will on Friday and Saturday, offer music enthusiasts the third edition of its Restoration – Imvuselelo with Friends of Joyous – closing off 2022 with a special musical rendering at Emperors Palace, east of Johannesburg.

The show follows a successful inter-continental tour where Joyous Celebration left crowds asking for more.

“We are humbled by the support we have received from our partners, fans, and supporters.

“After a difficult phase across the globe, it is truly humbling to have been able to give and receive as much as we have this year.

“We have had the opportunity to lift people’s spirits across South Africa, the Southern African Development Community and East Africa.

“This is because we knew how much people needed this intervention – post the global Covid pandemic. We also needed it.

“In presenting our third instalment of the Restoration – Imvuselelo show, we are thanking everyone who has been on our side for the past 26 years, especially this year, as we worked hard to reintroduce ourselves and present an incredible tour to South Africa and the African diaspora,” said the gospel group’s founding director, pastor Jabu Hlongwane.

In December 2020 Joyous Celebration launched the restoration show in Durban in a bid to reclaim what had been lost – restoring hope and celebrating victories through music and dance.

Added Hlongwane: “We are now presenting this spectacular show against the same backdrop of why it was launched in the first place.

“What sets this show apart from the rest of the tour shows is that we bring Joyous friends onto stage.

“They are not only gospel artists, but music artists. The show is a load of worship and praise songs.”

Joyous Celebration Restoration will be a hybrid production, as per previous instalment – with a live audience and will also be streamed live “for the enjoyment of our Joyous followers, families, friends and music lovers who cannot join us in person – from the comfort of their homes and holiday destinations”.

“Everywhere in the world and wherever our supporters, family and friends are, we will bring Joyous to you,” promised Mkhize.

Tickets for Joyous Celebration Restoration – Imvuselelo with friends of Joyous friends are available from Webtickets and Pick n Pay outlets from R300.

To stream the show live on the day and access a lot more Joyous content, MTN customers can access www.joyoustv.com for free, and non-MTN customer can watch the show for R100 per person.
