Jub Jub accused of owing money as alleged victims speak out

TikTok user Likhona Sukume has come forward, accusing media personality Jub Jub of owing him money. In a viral video, Likhona documented his visit to a house allegedly belonging to Jub Jub, accompanied by police, as he delivered a letter of demand from the small claims court. He claims the artist borrowed R50,000 from him to finance an event in December but has only repaid R15,000, leaving him struggling to recover the balance.

“I could see this man is playing around. I tried to communicate, and when I couldn’t reach him, I left a voice note warning that I would take legal action. That’s when he gave me R15,000,” Likhona told TshisaLIVE. He further stated that Jub Jub repeatedly made excuses, first saying he was waiting for payment from Computicket, then later claiming Moja Love would settle his outstanding debts.

TshisaLIVE reached out to Jub Jub for comment, but he had not responded at the time of publishing. However, in an exclusive recording, he addressed the situation, saying, “Does he want to go to court? Or is he busy with this social media thing? On social media, I’ve been called a rapist, I’ve been called a murderer—I don’t care. Ask him whether he wants his money or if he wants to go to court. He must apologise, otherwise, he’ll be sorry for posting my house.”

Likhona has since escalated the matter, claiming he has reached out to commercial crimes authorities and even considered involving the Hawks. Meanwhile, other alleged victims have also come forward, with some choosing to remain anonymous while others take legal action. One TikTok user alleged, “He and his wife owe me R200k. We are not the only ones in this situation.”
