South African media personality Jub Jub is facing allegations from TikTok user Likhona Sukume, who claims the artist owes him money. The accusations surfaced in a viral video where Likhona documented his visit to a house allegedly belonging to Jub Jub, accompanied by police, as he delivered a letter of demand from the small claims court.

The Allegations

Likhona alleges that Jub Jub borrowed R50,000 from him to finance an event in December but has only repaid R15,000, leaving him struggling to recover the outstanding balance.

“I could see this man is playing around. I tried to communicate, and when I couldn’t reach him, I left a voice note warning that I would take legal action. That’s when he gave me R15,000,” Likhona told TshisaLIVE.

He further stated that Jub Jub repeatedly made excuses, initially claiming he was waiting for payment from Computicket, and later saying Moja Love would settle his outstanding debts.

Legal Action and Social Media Drama

Feeling frustrated by Jub Jub’s lack of repayment, Likhona decided to escalate the matter legally. He approached the small claims court, delivering the letter of demand with police assistance, and has since considered involving the commercial crimes unit and even the Hawks.

In his viral video, Likhona showed his visit to Jub Jub’s alleged residence, demanding repayment. The video sparked public interest, with some social media users rallying behind him, while others questioned whether social media was the best platform for resolving financial disputes.

Jub Jub’s Response

When approached for comment by TshisaLIVE, Jub Jub did not respond at the time of publishing. However, in an exclusive recording, he addressed the situation, challenging Likhona’s approach.

“Does he want to go to court? Or is he busy with this social media thing? On social media, I’ve been called a rapist, I’ve been called a murderer—I don’t care. Ask him whether he wants his money or if he wants to go to court. He must apologise, otherwise, he’ll be sorry for posting my house,” Jub Jub said in the recording.

His response suggests that he is unfazed by public accusations and is willing to face the legal consequences rather than engaging in an online battle.

Other Alleged Victims Come Forward

As Likhona’s claims gained traction, other alleged victims stepped forward with similar accusations.

One TikTok user alleged, “He and his wife owe me R200k. We are not the only ones in this situation.”

While some individuals have chosen to remain anonymous, others have hinted at taking legal action against the musician. The growing number of accusations raises serious concerns about Jub Jub’s financial dealings and business credibility.

Public Reactions and Legal Implications

Social media users are divided on the issue. Some support Likhona’s decision to expose the situation publicly, arguing that celebrities should be held accountable for their financial commitments. Others believe that legal action—not social media— is the best way to resolve the dispute.

Legal experts suggest that if Jub Jub fails to settle the debt, he could face further legal consequences, including a court order compelling him to pay. If more complainants come forward, authorities may launch a broader investigation into his financial affairs.

What Happens Next?

With Likhona now involving commercial crime authorities and possibly the Hawks, this dispute is far from over. The case could lead to:

✅ A formal court ruling ordering Jub Jub to repay the money
✅ Further financial claims from other alleged victims
✅ Possible reputational damage for the musician

For now, Jub Jub remains silent on the growing controversy, but the pressure is mounting. Whether this will end in court or a public apology and repayment, only time will tell.
