K.O is one of many artists that have continued to carry the game on their backs through their constant record breaking milestones. He first ventured into music 17 years ago alongside Ma-E and Ntukza as they formed a group famously known as Teargas. The group went on to conquering the South African Radio waves with their numerous projects and hit singles such as Chance and Mhlobo Wami as they Won numerous awards as well as getting nominated at prestigious award ceremonies such as the BET Awards and MTV Africa Music Awards.

Teargas stay intact until their separation in 2013 and this was when K.O decided to launch his former label ‘Cashtime Life’ with Ma-E and and former manager, Thabiso Khanti. It was then where we got to see K.O shine as an independent artist as he released his debut album as a solo artist ‘Mission Statement’ as well as collaborating with AKA on their award winning single ‘Run Jozi’. He shook the Hip-Hop game with that verse and he further dropped ‘Caracara’ the following year of which became a hit of the year as it was played all over Radio and Television.

He then signed the likes of KidX and Moozlie of whom did quite well under him until they decided to walk their own journey alongside Zingah (Formerly known as Smashis). This though did not stop him from delivering more hits as he gave birth to the ‘Skhanda Republic’ album series of which was followed by a 2nd one and currently the 3rd one. K.O has done so much for the game as he opened a lot of doors for many artists and paved the way when it came to the merchandise side of things. He later left Cashtime Life in the past to launch Skhanda World.

Skhanda World has since granted K.O the freedom he needed as he created so many opportunities for young creatives to form part of and has found a way to get brand deals that will assist not only him but the artists under his roster such as Roiii and Loki. He has since done well for himself as he has achieved various milestones just as of recent with ‘SETE’ as it has been sitting on the charts for 14 weeks straight. This is big as he has been contending with international artists on the charts and you know when they say ‘numbers don’t lie’ they indeed dont as the music video is currently sitting on 19 Million Views and the song is on 9 Million streams on Spotify alone making it his biggest record to date.

K.O has lived a long memorable life and may he continue doing so by making more history and establishing more opportunities for the youth. From us, to K.O, we wish you more life and more success. Keep up the good work. To 17 more years or more in the industry.

We attended the celebration last night, do check out how it all went down below:
