K.O is “dotting all the I’s and crossing all the T’s” as he prophesises the year 2023 with his new freestyle titled ‘Forecast 2023’ accompanied by a visualiser. This comes after the massive success of his mega hit single ‘SETE’.
‘Forecast 2023’ opens with K.O praying to his higher power, seeking protection and guidance as he raps:
“Ngiguqe ngedolo ng’cel’ iNkos’ ing’size, something that I often seek/ Uk’vikeleka njalo when I walk the street/ Nginik’ ubuhlakani, the gift of the gab and the rawest beats.”
The rapper forecasts his upcoming accolades and apologises for killing the game:
“I’m sorry askies, uMdal’ ofeza zonk’ iyifiso/ We been bringing home the bacon while they’re talking beef and trophy season’s coming up it’s a couple SAMAs that belong to me.”
Somewhere in the freestyle, he seems to be calling out Ntukza who he doesn’t mention by name, but the lines can only be directed at the former member of Teargas:
“Uthando noxolo that’s what I’m truly on/ Uyinja yami but fede asishayisan’ iminyak’ eyishumi yonke/ And every time I’m thinking you’re wiser ntwana you prove me wrong/ Asik’phenduli noma ungas’tweet’ uyibhari ekhuluma yodwa and every chance oyitholay’ uhlala ukhulum’ inyongo/ Let the fans hear it from me, fuck a reunion.”
Things get even more interesting as K.O starts name-dropping; he addresses LadyDu for her reaction to ‘SETE’ going gold and delves into political issues as he raps about Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala saga. But it’s not all war, as K.O expresses his gratitude to Young Stunna and Blxckie with whom he collaborated on the “record of the summer 2022.”
