The organisers of the Leopard Ladies Golf Tournament have revealed plans to return the unique golf event to Ibadan where it started four years ago as Ibadan Golf Club (IGC) have been picked to host the event this year.
This edition that will come up in a date yet to be disclosed according to the spokesperson of the event, Sumbo Oshile, former Lady Captain of both Ibadan Golf Club and Tiger Golf Club, will not feature the beauty pageant contest but other exciting activities.
“There are going to be lots of side attractions which include a leopard fashion show by top models, which will be handled by the former lady captain of Ikoyi Golf Club Maureen Reece who also owns Maymausue Couturiers.
“A competitive fashion parade amongst participants, chipping & putting competition, a lecture on Leopard and Golf, any Nexus? Which will be delivered by Sikiru Adewoye, a legal practitioner”, said Oshile.
She added that the cocktail party and tournament day will be Saturday, while participants are expected to depart on Sunday as the criteria for winning is based strictly on wearing the leopard print outfit on the course.
