It’s been four years since DJ Tira’s wife Gugu Khathi, was accused of assault by her old neighbor Cindy O’Neil, and she has taken to social media to share an update regarding the case.

The businesswoman revealed on Wednesday 25 January, that the case was postponed due to load shedding. Gugu shared a video of herself inside a car and said the case is still ongoing four years later.

The businesswoman said she wanted the case to conclude so that she can clear her name.

“Today was meant to be the last day of court, a four-year-long procession. State versus Cindy Oneal, my neighbor.”

”I think you guys remember the story very well. We have been at it for some time now,” Gugu said.

“We were supposed to hear judgment against Miss Cynthia O’Neil. Guys this load-shedding thing. Can you meet us halfway? I can’t. I need results. I need this case behind me. I need to clear my name. I need to move on with my life.” she wrote.

Gugu was accused of assaulting her neighbor in 2019, during a nasty fight at the prestigious Willowbrook Estate, in Ruimsig, where they both resided.

The two opened charges of assault against one another at the Honeydew police station. According to SowetanLIVE, Benjamin O’Neal claimed that Gugu punched his 50-year-old wife, Cindy, in the face after storming into their residence and threatening them.

This was after Tira & Gugu’s son Junior was accused of driving through the complex at high speed. According to Benjamin Gugu came out with guns blazing to confront them at their residence and hell broke loose.

“She said this is your second warning,” Benjamin said.

“My wife crossed her arms and said to her, ‘get off my property’.

“Gugu stepped back and tripped over the bicycle. We tried to help her get up and she refused, so I went back to putting up the decorations and left them there.

“She got up after being helped up and she punched my wife once in the face,” Benjamin said.

Gugu on the other hand claimed someone attacked her son from Benjamin’s residence.

“They attacked my son and then turned around and attacked me. His [Junior’s] little brother came rushing and told me ‘come see what these people did’. I rushed to their house to ask what my son did to deserve this and they looked at me with [an] attitude.

“The woman [Cindy] came at me; she pushed me so hard from the garage into the street where the bicycle was. I landed on it. I literally can’t walk right now,” Khathi said.
