South Africans thanked Hot 102.7 FM on Friday, 3 March when the radio station gave an update on radio legend Mark Pilgrim. This is after the broadcaster, who is currently battling stage four cancer, didn’t update his social media accounts in a month. On their official Instagram and Twitter accounts, Hot 102.7 FM revealed that the father of two remains positive and explained why the radio star Mark Pilgrim hasn’t been active on social media.
The station’s Managing Director Lloyd Madurai shared:
Mark Pilgrim is grateful for your prayers and support. Mark has not been active on his social media platforms as he has taken this time to focus on his treatment. In spite of the challenges over the last few months, he remains positive.”
“From Mark and the HOT 1027 family, we are extremely grateful for your care and concern
@cherylh2707: “Thanks so much for the update Always concerned & send our love, strength & prayers to Mark xx.”

@Maggzunlimited: “Love you Fam, and much love to Mark, I pray for the total restoration of his health.
@bodyrock.xl21: “Thank you so very much for this update I have been wondering how he was doing, and understood after all the social media posts while he was in hospital, him needing this break. I will continue to pray for him and his family, and watch out for posts like these Thank you again.
