The High Court in Pretoria has confirmed that it has lifted the suspension of Mpumalanga Police Commissioner Dephney Manamela. Yesterday, the court ordered the lifting of Manamela’s suspension and her return to work.
Manemala made an urgent court application interdicting the Police Minister from establishing a board of inquiry to investigate whether she was fit to hold office.
Manamela argued that the suspension was arbitrary and irrational because she was not afforded sufficient time to make representations.
