Mrs Mops’ Waterkloof mansion set for auction again amid financial woes

Mpumi “Mrs Mops” Mophatlane’s future on The Mommy Club has taken a backseat but so has her luxury lifestyle.

The reality TV star and actress, who recently announced her reduced role on the show, is now facing the auctioning of her five-bedroom mansion in Waterkloof, Pretoria.

The lavish home, featuring a swimming pool, staff quarters, a wine cellar, and multiple lounges, is set to go under the hammer on March 5.

This follows reports that the Mophatlane family owes approximately R9 million, as confirmed by the Pretoria High Court’s sheriff and creditor, Nedbank.

Last year, an offer of R5.8 million was made when the house was listed for auction under Bidders Choice in September.

However, they managed to recover the property before the sale was finalized. During the second season of The Mommy Club, Mrs Mops avoided filming in her home, opting for restaurants and other locations instead.

Now, with the mansion back on the auction block, questions arise about her real reason for stepping back from the show.

Potential buyers looking to secure the property will need to pay a R50,000 registration fee, with the auction set to proceed as confirmed by Bidders Choice Online.
