“Private but not a secret” is exactly what South African singer Nhlanhla Mafu went for with her family Christmas photoshoot, which had tweeps in stitches.
With the festive season here and families commemorating the holiday with a photoshoot, Nhlanhla Mafu and her family followed suit in a Black and Blue themed shoot.
‘You put the Merry in my Christmas’
However, what caused a stir on social media was the formation of the shoot with her “new partner” and two children’s identities concealed in the series of photos the Khona hitmaker shared on Instagram.
She captioned the photo: “You put the Merry in my Christmas”.

Though industry peers – the likes of media personalities Somizi, Thembinkosi Seete, and Kelly Khumalo – gushed over Nhlanhla Mafu’s pictures, some netizens beg to differ.
Netizens left divided
“Protect your privacy and peace sis, l’m so happy for you,” one Instagram user said.
“Yes babes, you have no idea how this makes me so happy…. more blessing upon you sis. You deserve it,” singer and reality tv star Kelly Khumalo wrote on Instagram.
Tweeps, however, mopped the floor with the Mafikizolo star.
Netizens insinuated that the man in the picture might be Mafu’s ex-husband, Thembinkosi “TK” Nciza, even though the two spilt in 2019.
Tweeps are questioning her motive for posting the photos if she went to lengths of concealing her new “bae” and children’s faces.
“What I gather from these pictures is that she’s dating a man with kids, most probably a divorced man”, one tweep wrote, adding:
“The two kids whose faces we can see are her kids the rest are the man’s kids… Someone correct me please”.
“I wonder how you have a conversation with children for them to understand why you are doing this,” another said.
