Nomzamo empowers businesswomen
Renowned South African actress and philanthropist Nomzamo Mbatha continues to make a difference through her dedication to uplifting communities.
Recently, she played a key role in recognizing and supporting female entrepreneurs at the Empowering Her 2024 Business Awards Seminar.
At the event, Mbatha awarded two outstanding businesswomen for their achievements.
Dudu M, who operates a coal mining business, received R100,000, while the grand prize of R200,000 went to Mpho, the founder of MH Automotive Engineering.
Expressing her admiration for the winners, Mbatha highlighted Mpho’s remarkable journey in the automotive industry.
“One of the most impressive women I’ve ever met,” she wrote on Instagram.
She further detailed Mpho’s business, which assembles and supplies parts for Ford, employs 59 full-time staff, and operates from a 2,000-square-meter facility. “Mpho is only going up from here,” she added.
