Oborevwori Wants Best Youth Games – Sports Commission Chairman

Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, has given a marching order to the Local Organising Committee (LOC) to ensure that the 2023 edition of the Youth Games takes a new dimension as the biggest and best organised in its history.

The Commission Chairman, Chief Tonobok Okowa said that the governor who is so passionate about sports has given all the needed support to enable it deliver the most memorable sporting experience to athletes, officials and sports fans.

The Youth Games is scheduled to begin on September 20 with the arrival of state athletes, while the Opening Ceremony is on September 23 and Closing Ceremony on September 30.

Meanwhile, the Stephen Keshi International Stadium, Asaba beckons on state contingents for the 7th National Youth Games, tagged “Asaba 2023.”

Against this background, the stadium is wearing a fresh look from the gate to the main bowl and other competition centres for the event, just as various workmen are putting finishing touches to various tasks in herald of the all important national event.
