Oskido celebrates fitness milestone
Veteran music producer Oskido is proof that persistence pays off, especially in the gym.
The legendary hitmaker recently took to Instagram to share a proud moment: successfully completing his first pull-up after years of trying.
In a video posted to his page, the Let’s Dance star is seen powering through the tough workout move, his excitement impossible to miss.
Alongside the clip, Oskido reflected on his journey and the effort it took to get there.
“I did my first pull-up in 3 years! Don’t stop at step 10, your breakthrough might be step 11,” he wrote.
It turns out, Oskido’s breakthrough wasn’t just physical, it was also deeply motivational for fans, who flooded his comments with praise for his commitment and patience.
Pull-ups might look simple when seasoned gym-goers do them, but according to certified fitness trainer Mothusi Maepa, they’re one of the most challenging bodyweight exercises out there.
“If your core is weak, including your arms, shoulders, and back muscles, you will struggle with pull-ups,” Maepa explained.
“Being overweight can also contribute to the difficulty.”
For those aiming to follow in Oskido’s footsteps, Maepa recommends a combination of weight loss, strength training, and resistance exercises.
He suggests starting with the assisted pull-up machine before progressing to unassisted reps: “That will likely improve your performance over time.”
