Parliament will today debate the Section 89 report related to the Phala Phala investigation, which found President Cyril Ramaphosa may have violated the Constitution.
Only members of Parliament will be allowed to vote, all other ministers or deputy ministers who are not members of the house won’t be participating in the vote.

Spokesperson of the ANC in Parliament, Moloto Mothapo, said: “The Speaker has decided… voting will be open and will take the form of roll call/voice procedure”.
“This means MPs will need to confirm their vote by voice when their names are called. Only members who are present when a vote is called will be permitted to vote.
Members will be called in the following order:

- DA
- EFF
- IFP
- FF Plus
- ACDP
- UDM
- ATM
- GOOD
- NFP
- AIC
- COPE
- PAC
- ALJAMA’AH

Moreover, Mothapo said: “The National Assembly membership list will be used as the voters roll. All seats will be clearly marked with the name of the member”.
“This will be done to assist the voting process and ensure the smooth running of proceedings in the absence of desk microphones,” Mothapo explained.
“The secretariat will call each member according to parties.”
“Once a division has been demanded and bells have rung for a stipulated time, doors to Chamber will be locked and no member will be allowed to enter or leave Chamber.”
