
Police and other authorities have pounced on shops selling counterfeit items. Members of the SAPS, private security and SARS Customs officials embarked on a join operation in the busy streets of Johannesburg.
The confiscated items are believed to be worth around R3.2-million.
The city’s law enforcement officers have been going from door to door in the city as part of Operation O Kae Molao.

New Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi wrote to President Cyril Ramaphosa and requested permission to give slain rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes a state funeral. On Thursday, Lesufi revealed his request was denied.
