Presidential Hopeful Boosts Scorpion’s Title Defence

Ridwan ‘Scorpion’ Oyekola, reigning World Boxing Federation (WBF) champion preparing to defend his world title has received encouragement and endorsement from Prince (Dr) Adewole Adebayo a presidential aspirant of the third force movement in Nigeria.

The Oyo born Scorpion, who had gone to receive the royal blessings of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, one time professional boxer and father of boxing in Nigeria during the Monarch’s 51st coronation anniversary celebration in Oyo iin company of Chairman, Nigeria Organizing Council NOC of the WBF Title Defence fight, Sir Olawale Okunniyi and his Manager, Mr Sola ‘Ford’ Ayodele, met with the cerebral presidential hopeful, who encouraged him to go all out to retain the world title for Nigeria.

In his response the scorpion presented his two belts to Adebayo and thanked him for encouraging him, while also expressing excitement about meeting with the Ondo born legal icon, whom he described as a youth role model, who’s best suited to lead Nigeria out of its present myriad of crisis and that it would be nice to have someone like him, young and energetic in his 50s as the next president of Nigeria

Adebayo, the President of Kaftan Television, however promised to support scorpion title defence and career to highest level, stating that one of his goals, when he becomes Nigeria president is to take sports and youth development from the grassroots to a new dawn in Nigeria

In Adebayo’s high-powered delegation to the Alaafin were; Comrade Solomon Dalung, Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Senator Ugochuckwu Ubah, Dr Tanko Yunusa, Spokesperson of the National Consultative Front, (NCFront), among other eminent Nigerians who stormed the occasion with him.
