A South African-based and Nigerian-born prophet named David Uche has angered the masses after a recent prediction proclaiming a dark fate for South African musician Big Zulu.

A video clip of the prophet sharing his “visions” with his congregation during a February gathering has gone viral, even prompting Big Zulu to respond.

The video was originally shared on the prophet’s TikTok page and that clip was then shared on Twitter.

‘Car full of blood’

In the video, Uche can be heard saying; “His name is Big Zulu. I’ve been praying for him for an extension because this thing will happen in March next month, March, April,” he said, before adding, “as I keep praying, I was also praying for Somizi, but now this other man who is very extreme his name is Big Zulu”.

Although he was clear on what he saw for Big Zulu, the clip does not show him elaborating on the vision he had of celebrity choreographer and reality star, Somizi Mhlongo.

Big Zulu responds

Big Zulu had the most relaxed response to someone predicting that he would die soon, presumably over the Easter period and he simply said:

“Siyabonga kakhulu ngomthandazo kodwa khona izinto ezingekho kwawam amandla (Thank you very much for the prayer but there are things that are not in my power),” he tweeted in response to the video.

Social media responds

The replies to the prophecy video were mixed with many either sharing their scepticism or belief.

Who is Big Zulu?

Born Siyabonga Nene on 7 April 1986, Big Zulu is a South African rapper and songwriter.

The 36-year-old rapper rose to prominence after releasing the single titled Donsa Nkabi in 2016, aged 30.

Prior to releasing that single, he signed a record deal with Universal Music in 2015, and released his debut album titled Ushun Wenkabi and Ungqongqoshe Wongqongqoshe.

Because Hip Hop is often viewed as a young man’s game, he has often been ridiculed for making his breakthrough later in life.
