Simz Ngema goes under the knife in Turkey
Simphiwe “Simz” Ngema is being refreshingly open about her post-baby body journey, sharing real-time updates with her fans following her recent plastic surgery procedures in Turkey.
The actress and singer, who gave birth to her second son in November 2024, revealed that she traveled abroad for a tummy tuck and breast augmentation as part of a mommy makeover.
Not one to shy away from sharing the highs and lows, Simz has been documenting her healing process on Instagram with her 2.5 million followers.
Her candid updates have sparked praise for her transparency, especially as more South African celebrities begin to open up about cosmetic surgery.
Stars like DJ Zinhle, Boity Thulo, DBN Gogo, and Cyan Boujee have also spoken publicly about going under the knife.
In one of her latest posts, Simz gave followers a glimpse into how she’s doing just a few days post-op.
“Day 4 of recovery: I’m feeling so much better. Three of my drains have been empty since yesterday. There’s only one drain that had to be emptied,” she wrote.
Although the discomfort hasn’t completely disappeared, she noted that the pain was gradually decreasing.
“Still a little uncomfortable. You know when you’ve slept on your arm for a long time and it feels numb? That’s what my tummy feels like,” she explained.
“My breasts are fine, I am starting to feel a bit of sensation on my nipples.”
