
The state is pushing for former Bosasa executive, Angelo Agrizzi to undergo a mental evaluation. This after an inquiry into his continued absence from court heard conflicting reports about his fitness to stand trial. Last week a neurosurgeon told the court Agrizzi has a brain injury and is unable to follow proceedings.
However, on Monday the court heard that Agrizzi can testify but under limited and strict conditions. Two and a half years of failing to show up in court. Angelo Agrizzi’s fitness to stand trial again under the spotlight, With a neuropsychologist who examined him taking the stand.
Last week a different expert told the court that a brain injury has rendered Agrizzi neurologically unfit to stand trial. However, that did little to convince the state, which now wants Agrizzi sent for a mental evaluation.
The hearing into his ability to go to court will resume on Tuesday, with the state expected to call a pulmonologist to the stand.
