Amapinao star Pholoso Masombuka popularly known as Toss has revealed his relationship status.
The musician recently had an interview on Mac G’s Podcast and Chill and spilled the tea to the hosts of the show that he is currently single. He appeared to confuse the masses by revealing he has a bestie.
“I’m single. I just have a bestie,” he said.
There is some ambiguity in the word “bestie” since some people prefer to call their partners “besties.”
Toss gained prominence after releasing his smash hit single Umlando and he did not look back. On social media, concerns arose over his busy gig schedule as he traveled to performances non-stop.
It seems as though fatigue took a toll on him as he collapsed on stage while performing. His fans were concerned after a video surfaced of him fainting while performing on social media.
The musician later released a statement via his Instagram account and said he fainted due to fatigue. He assured his fans that he was doing well.
“I just wanted to inform you that I am doing well. I saw a video that has been circulating on Twitter and I just wanted to give you an update that I am okay and I appreciate the love and positive energies that you are sending out to me,” he said.
“I appreciate everything. I will come back stronger and I wanted to apologize to the promoter for what happened. I hope the show went well after I had left,” he said, thanking his fans for their support. Toss also thanked his mother with a freestyled verse, “I wouldn’t have survived the past few days without my mother. It’s been a tough week for her, but she stood for me when I couldn’t stand for myself!!! Ngiyabonga (thank you) for everything Ma!!! Ngisazok’jabulisa!!! Ak’pheleli La , Themba mina,” he wrote.
A few days after the incident he went live on Instagram and poured his heart out about his mental issues. He started crying and told fans that he needed to be loved more. Speaking to TshisaLive he said at the time he was suicidal.
“When I went live I was suicidal. I just wanted to speak about it, I didn’t want to cry. I just wanted to tell people how tough it is. It’s not as glamorous as it looks. I wanted to speak about what was happening at that time, I could say anything. It was really crazy. My heart was broken.
“I was trying to vent. I couldn’t vent to my friends because they were part of the problem at that time, same with my family. Everyone was not understanding me at that time. I thought perhaps the people on the Live would want to give me an ear because no one was trying to do that. I just needed some love,” he said.
