Turkish FA President Lauds Nigerian Owner of TAG Football Academy
Nihat Özdemir, President of the Turkish Football Federation has commended the Nigeria owner of the newly established football outfit Esenyurt Istanbul Amb. Orobiyi Quadri Oluwabamise for choosing to invest in Turkish football.
The President said this in a congratulatory letter sent to the management of the soccer outfit that will be officially commissioned this week with intention to attract candidates from Africa especially Nigeria according to Amb. Orobiyi, who is the founder/CEO of Turkish African Group (TAG) that owns the Football Academy.
Özdemir said the development is a catalyst to the development of youth football in Turkey and TFF will be looking forward to partner the firm in developing young football talents from Africa in Istanbul and guide them towards having a career as a professional footballer.
Orobiyi, a United Nations’ Ambassador on youth mentorship is a mentor, trainer, entrepreneur and inspirer of great conducts said he has used football worked exclusively with people who want to do great things across the globe and who are ready to embrace their true purpose in life.
He added that he will be working along another Nigerian, Babatunde Adedide Oluwasegun who is Co-founder of TAG Football Academy and a Turkish football coach, Hassan Yilmaz as head of the technical department of the soccer outfit.
Orobiyi added that TAG Football Academy will offer African candidates the opportunity to build their international profile by undergoing international professional training programs, as candidates will also get the opportunity to go for trials in Turkish leagues and other European countries.
