Police spokesperson Major General Nonkululeko Phokane said the crime scene is still active.

“This follows a Crime Intelligence-led operation, together with other multi-disciplinary forces. The alleged suspects were wanted for several ATM bombings and other serious crimes in Gauteng and other neighbouring provinces.

“The Deputy National Commissioner for Crime Detection, Lt General Shadrack Sibiya and other senior officers from the Saps are currently at the scene and will be addressing the media on any developments on the incident,” Phokane said.

This is a developing story.
