Two people were killed on Sunday morning when a light aircraft crashed near the FNB Stadium in, Nasrec, Gauteng.
The Accident was reported by the Aeronautical Rescue Coordination Centre (ARCC).

Emergency services responded to the scene, along with the South African Police Service (Saps) and Civil Aviation Authorities.
Two passengers dead
There were only two people on board, as confirmed by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) on Sunday.
SACAA said the aircraft “departed from Grand Central Airport in Gauteng on a training flight with the intention to land back at the same airport”.
“Onboard the aircraft were two occupants, who both sustained fatal injuries. The aircraft itself sustained substantial damage”.
Investigation underway
SACAA said its Accident and Incident Investigations Division (AIID) is investigating the matter. A preliminary report will be issued within 30 days.
Meanwhile, Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen said three people had died.
“Emer-G-Med paramedics together with multiple emergency service agencies are currently in attendance of a light aircraft crash […] Sadly three people have lost their lives”.
“On arrival on the scene, the plane was found in ruins and three occupants were declared dead on arrival.”
