Tyson Sybateli has to be one of many Hip-Hop artists with a very progressive year as he continues to achieve milestones for his brand. He is one artist that I would consider with one of the best rollouts for an album as there was a consistent story being told as the they prepared for his debut album to drop. This follows him performing on the ‘Play‘ Stage at ‘Africa’s Biggest Hip-Hop Festival’, Back To The City as well as being the first South African hip-hop artist to receive an endorsement deal with Shaq O’neal’s Clothing brand ‘Shaq’ as they launched their products for sale in SA as well as him being featured on the 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards Cyphers.
I am very grateful to have met him and received the opportunity to get to know him as he is a very focused person and has constantly continued to preach on how much one must invest themselves and believe in themselves as we are all destined for bigger and greater things, its just that not many individuals will understand the value in the things we do but the right people will pick on. He has had a lot of stories to share mainly around his relationship with one of Pretoria’s hottest vernacular rappers, ‘Thato Saul’.
Their relationship story has to be one of the best relationship stories as they built a brotherhood for themselves as well as paved the way on how unity should be like for fellow pretorian artists and producers. The two have outdone themselves with their recent visual drop for the single ‘Home And Away Games’ of which premiered on MTV Base yesterday before dropping on YouTube. The visuals stand out as they took the ‘CRT TV’ feel with the constant static lines alongside the colour grading that set the mood of the visuals showcasing them on a ‘Sports field/park’ of which also established the feeling of the weather outside and it also catered for the single as each artist played a role.
I love how the colours aligned with the initial theme they are pushing for from the get go beginning with how the rollout footage when promoting the pre-sale of the album as well as the recent promo clip they rolled out to showcase the MTV Base premiere.
