Winky D appreciates fans as he bags a Best Male Artist in Southern Africa award

Musician Winky D expresses excitement as he won the Best Male Artist in Southern Africa accolade last night at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in Senegal, in the process beating DJ Tarico, Gemini Major, Focalistic, Kabza De Small, Muskateers, Master KG and Zakes Bantwini.

The musician who recently dropped an album Eureka that got tongues wagging in Zimbabwe is excited of his achievement.

Taking to social media to show appreciation to his fans Winky D wrote: “My musical heart continues to overflow with boundless gratitude. I will continue appreciating the support you give me. Having you behind my music remains i can’t change for anything in this life. The love you have showered my music remains overwhelming. It remains the biggest inspiration to my musical dreams. #eurekaeureka”

Winky D took to his Facebook stories to thank his fans for their continued support.

A sad week once again for the Gumede/Simelane family as they bury yet another family member. Even though theirs was not the best of relationships between a daughter-in-law and mother-in-law, Babes Wodumo and Zama Nguni Gumede had buried the hatchet after laying Mandla ‘Mampintsha’ Maphumulo to rest.

The country learned of the passing of the 64-year-old Zama Gumede, who passed away on Sunday, 15 January 2023 at the Wentworth Government Hospital. Zama was trolled by social media users as she struggled her way to her seat during Shimora’s memorial service and funeral service. Many thought she had planned to make a dramatic entrance not knowing that the sickly mother was indeed struggling with her health. Learn More
