Chisom Dike, a Rivers State Representative of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the National Assembly has abandoned the party to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the wind of defection blows on.
The defection notice was contained in a letter directed to the House via the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila.
In the letter read by Gbajabiamila on Thursday, Dike stated that the constant crisis in the PDP prompted his decision to defect to the APC.
He also said the leadership of the Speaker aided his decision to defect.
It is record that the defection “game” from the PDP to APC has almost become a weekly occurrence in the House of Representatives.
Recalled that before the annual recess, about 10 lawmakers from Zamfara and Cross River states defected to the APC from the PDP.
The latest defection it is believed, may be unconnected to the protracted fight between Wike and PDP Chairman, Uche Secondus.
