Babes Wodumo

South African Gqom star Babes Wodumo was overcome with emotion during a recent visit to the gravesite of her late husband, Mampintsha.

The Wololo hitmaker shared a video on Instagram showing herself walking through a cemetery before arriving at her husband’s tombstone, a moment that immediately moved her followers.

With her on the visit was a heartfelt handwritten letter from her teenage niece, who wanted to express her love and appreciation for the late Big Nuz member.

Babes explained that her niece had asked her not to read the note, insisting she should simply bury it beside the grave.

However, Babes admitted she couldn’t resist opening it. “My niece gave me a letter and asked me to dig a small hole and bury it. She gave me the ‘don’t read my letter’ lecture, but I couldn’t hold myself. Did I not burst into tears because of this letter. Forever missed,” she wrote.

The emotional letter revealed how deeply Mampintsha had impacted the young girl’s life.

She described him as a father figure who taught her valuable lessons, supported her growth, and cared for her in ways she would never forget.

She also expressed heartbreak that he never got the chance to see her start high school, something he had looked forward to before his passing.
