Stilo Magolide is calling on rappers to be part of the upcoming street remix of his track “They Talk,” as he opens up the feature selection process to the public. The artist is actively seeking suggestions on which voices should appear on the remix, with the focus placed firmly on rapping ability rather than industry profile.
“They Talk” is part of Stilo Magolide’s 2025 project Stiloway, where the track appears among the body of work that shaped his latest release cycle. The song recently received renewed attention following the release of its official music video, which brought a visual layer to the record’s themes. The video leans into street-inspired scenes, aligning with the tone of the track and its grounded perspective.
With the spotlight back on the song, Stilo Magolide has decided to extend its life through a remix. Explaining the direction, he said: “I decided to do a remix for ‘They Talk.’ I’m calling it a street remix because hip hop is back in the streets whether we like it or not, so let’s keep it street.” The framing positions the remix within a broader shift toward raw, street-level expression in hip hop.
As part of this process, he is inviting input from listeners on which rappers should be featured. “What the street does is create its own economy, so just give me some suggestions on who you think you want to hear on this feature, who you think would really go hard on this,” he said, indicating that the final lineup could be influenced by public response.
He also made it clear that the opportunity is open-ended when it comes to who can be considered. “It could be anybody, it doesn’t have to be famous for real, it just has to be a rapper,” he added, emphasizing inclusivity and removing the requirement for mainstream recognition.
The direction of the “They Talk” street remix reflects a continued connection between hip hop and its grassroots origins. The streets have historically functioned as a space where artists develop their craft, test their sound, and build audiences organically. This environment has long contributed to shaping the genre’s identity, often setting trends before they reach wider commercial platforms.
By calling on rappers in this manner, Stilo Magolide’s approach aligns with that foundation. The remix process highlights how hip hop continues to evolve through community participation and street-driven influence, reinforcing the idea that the culture remains closely tied to the spaces where it was first built.
