The current hip-hop landscape has seen a series of diss tracks exchanged among several emerging artists, with tensions escalating over the past week. The sequence of releases began when Usimamane dropped a diss track titled Hey Twin, which was widely understood to be directed at Jay Katana and Brotherkupa.

In response, Jay Katana released Get TROLLED, directly addressing Usimamane. Shortly afterward, K1llbrady entered the exchange with his own diss track, We Dem Boyz, aligning himself with Jay Katana. The situation continued to develop as Usimamane released another track titled Ransom, in which he responded to multiple artists, including K1llbrady, Jay Katana, and LaCabra. LaCabra also contributed to the exchange with his track Azishe, aimed at Usimamane.

Amid this ongoing exchange, K1llbrady appeared on the Spreading Humours podcast, where he addressed his involvement in the situation. During the discussion, he explained that his participation in the dispute was not rooted in a personal conflict with Usimamane. Instead, he described his actions as a reflection of loyalty to his associates.

According to K1llbrady, the issue did not initially involve a direct disagreement between himself and Usimamane. He stated that the tension arose from what he described as disrespect toward someone he is closely aligned with, referring to Jay Katana. In explaining his position, he said, “Me, I’m just too loyal to my n*ggas, with me and him it wasn’t really a kwal like that.” He continued by clarifying that his involvement was a response to perceived disrespect, adding, “He was just being disrespectful to my Gee.”

K1llbrady further summarized his stance by stating, “I inherited it, we inherit the beef this side,” indicating that his participation stemmed from association rather than a direct origin of conflict. His comments suggest that his diss track was created in support of Jay Katana rather than as a result of a personal dispute with Usimamane.

He also referenced earlier interactions that contributed to the situation, pointing to reactions surrounding Usimamane’s project Baby Tai. According to K1llbrady, feedback given at the time included criticism of the project, which played a role in shaping the tensions that followed. He stated, “We told him his sh*t is whack,” referring to responses directed at the mixtape. These remarks trace back to comments made by Jay Katana regarding the release, which preceded the first diss track in the sequence.

Regarding the current state of the exchange, K1llbrady indicated that the situation remains ongoing. With Usimamane being the most recent to release a track among those involved, he suggested that further responses are expected, stating that there is more material to come.
