He reflected on the emotional state that influenced his actions and took full accountability.
He explained that from Blue Pappi’s perspective, the situation stemmed from disappointment and confusion, especially considering their close working relationship. As KindlyNxsh put it, Blue Pappi felt something like, “damn, we’re so close, I’ve helped you in so many ways in your career,” pointing to the history of support between them and how the unfollow may have been interpreted.
KindlyNxsh also acknowledged that support, recalling earlier moments in his career when opportunities were still limited. He explained that around the release of Eish Chief, getting shows was still difficult, and during a major event in Zone 6, Blue Pappi reached out and offered him a platform. He described it as Blue Pappi essentially saying he would bring him onto the lineup as part of their Qwellers set, adding that this wasn’t an isolated gesture but part of a pattern where they had supported each other at different shows.
When explaining what led to the unfollow, KindlyNxsh admitted it came from an overthinking state rather than any real issue between them. He said that on his birthday this year, he became deeply introspective, thinking along the lines of, “do I really have real relationships with people, or is it just us dapping each other up at shows?” In that mindset, he decided to unfollow certain people, believing that those who truly understood him would not misinterpret it.
Looking back, he acknowledged that his actions were unfair and that Blue Pappi was justified in feeling the way he did, saying, “as rightfully so, my bro took it that way, and I was wrong for that.” He added that Blue Pappi later reached out, and the two were able to clear the air through a video call, where they fully resolved the misunderstanding.
Ultimately, KindlyNxsh emphasized that the situation came from being “in his head” rather than any real fallout, and that after communication and accountability, their relationship was repaired.
