The countdown has begun for LaCabra’s upcoming album MR BULLY, as the rapper continues to roll out music ahead of the project’s official release. The album is scheduled to drop on 27 February, marking a significant milestone in LaCabra’s recording career and adding to a growing catalogue of work that has steadily expanded his presence in the local rap scene.

MR BULLY is expected to feature 14 tracks, positioning it as an extensive body of work that reflects a long-term creative process. As part of the album rollout, LaCabra has already begun releasing select tracks to introduce the sound and structure of the project before its full release.

The first track made available from the album was track 4, “Sala Kanja.” Its release marked the initial public entry point into MR BULLY, offering listeners early access to material from the album. Following this release, LaCabra has confirmed plans to drop another single from the project.

The next release will be track 10, titled “Ballon d’Or,” which is scheduled to arrive this Friday. This track will become the second song officially released from MR BULLY, continuing the album’s phased rollout. With two tracks now accessible ahead of the full album, the release strategy provides a gradual introduction to the project as the February release date approaches.

In addition to music releases, LaCabra has also shared a documentary connected to the MR BULLY era. The documentary offers insight into his background, environment, and creative journey leading up to the album. It documents personal experiences and moments from his hometown, providing context to the themes and direction explored throughout the project. The visual release serves as a companion piece to the album, expanding its narrative beyond audio alone.

Before MR BULLY, LaCabra released several projects that contributed to his growth as a solo artist. His debut solo project, iQhawe Emphakathini, introduced a more personal approach to storytelling and highlighted his lyrical focus. The project helped establish his individual identity following collaborative work within the hip-hop community.

LaCabra has also been involved in joint releases, including collaborative albums that explored township narratives and shared experiences. These earlier projects laid groundwork for the scale and ambition seen in MR BULLY.

As the release date nears, the continued rollout of singles and supporting content places MR BULLY firmly in focus, with “Sala Kanja” and “Ballon d’Or” serving as early releases from the expansive upcoming album.
