Georgia Oboh, Nigeria’s lady sensational golfer on the Ladies European Tour (LET) may still be fighting for her first professional victory, but the news of the moment is her progressive performance and development with every event.
Hence, the just concluded Ladies Access Series which held at the beautiful course of Real Golf El Prat in Barcelona, Spain provided yet another talking point in Oboh’s recent rising profile.
The Edo State-born golfer and Nigeria’s sole representative on the Ladies European Tour started off day one at 5 over par , 77 and was in 35th position which improved by day two scoring 3 over par 75 to move into 21st position.
However on the final day, which was Day-3 of the tournament, Georgia pulled out her best score of the tournament to match her best tournament score and the best score of the tournament on day three!!! Shooting a three under par ,69.
Her scores of 77/75/69 earned her a great 4th place finish and her best finish on the LET access series tour .
Mr and Mrs Geoffrey Oboh, her parents in a chat with SOKOnnect moments after the game emotionally said, “Georgia is excited to reveal that her game is steadily maturing and gives Glory to God and thanks to her team.”
However, French amateur Charlotte Liautier secured a one-shot victory at the Santander Golf Tour Barcelona after shooting a final round of 74 (+2).
