Limpopo-born musician Kaycherlow caused a stir online over the weekend after news broke that he had been involved in a car accident.

The Lekompo star, whose real name is Morwakhalo Khwinana, is known for tracks such as Ariyeng, Ke tlo boya and Ba Ntseba.

He reportedly crashed in the early hours of Sunday, 7 December 2025, while travelling to a scheduled performance in Zebediela, Limpopo.

Local outlet LimpChronicle shared the news on X, revealing that the accident happened near Usave in Mathibela.

The artist was allegedly on his way to a popular pub in the area, known as Ga-Stan, when the crash occurred.

Kaycherlow’s incident adds to a worrying trend involving Limpopo musicians on the road this year, coming shortly after recent accidents involving Chymamusique, Kharishma and Kaylow.

His accident also comes soon after fans mourned the death of DJ Poizen, who tragically lost his life in a separate crash.

As updates about Kaycherlow’s condition remain unclear, fans flooded social media with messages of support and concern.

One user, @tebogorashilo70, wrote: “Whoever is fighting with whoever, it needs to stop. Le hloka dithapelo (you need prayers). Jealousy is taking a serious part, more bookings than someone else.”

Another, @Tom47096338, added: “Others will blame witchcraft, but no one looks at the fact that artists have normalised alcohol as part of their lives. When you book them, they even give you a list of the alcohol they want and the type of accommodation, while they have to drive from one gig to another still.”
