South African singer-songwriter Lordkez has been featured in the EMERGENT global music programme, a collaborative initiative by Levi’s® and COLORSxSTUDIOS designed to spotlight emerging artists shaping contemporary music and culture. The programme was introduced in April 2026 as a multi-year project focused on identifying artists at pivotal stages of their creative development and presenting their work through performance, film, and cultural storytelling formats .
EMERGENT brings together Levi’s® and COLORSxSTUDIOS in a structured rollout featuring six artists selected from Mexico, South Africa, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Japan. Each artist is introduced through an “A COLORS SHOW” performance, an accompanying profile film, and select live activations that explore their artistic identity and creative direction . The initiative is built around the idea of capturing musicians at a moment of artistic formation, focusing on originality, process, and evolving sound rather than commercial milestones.
Lordkez represents South Africa within this global cohort. Her inclusion places her among a group of artists presented as part of the programme’s focus on voices contributing to new directions in music. As part of EMERGENT, she is featured through the COLORS platform’s minimalist performance format, which typically highlights vocals and live interpretation against a single-colour visual backdrop, a signature style of COLORSxSTUDIOS content .
