Construction of Fleurhof Mall in Johannesburg is underway, with completion scheduled for September 2026.
The 25,800 square metre mall is being developed by Abcon and the Masingita Group of Companies, both of whom are specialists in retail.
Abcon said that the mall is designed to meet the everyday needs of the Fleurhof community, bringing convenience, accessibility, and trusted brands closer to home.
Fleurhof is situated just outside of Soweto, the largest township in South Africa. The mall is strategically positioned to connect Soweto and the Western suburbs via key arterial routes.
The mall will be anchored by Pick n Pay, Shoprite and Edgars. It will feature a strong mix of national tenants, bringing convenience and retail variety to the growing community.
The Masingita Group of Companies said that the mall will transform the local retail landscape, bringing a diverse range of shops, services and entertainment options to the vibrant community of Fleurhof.
It said that the development by design blends seamlessly with the local environment, incorporating sustainable features and modern architecture to create a welcoming space for residents and visitors.
The wider Fleurhof area is undergoing a massive affordable housing project designed to accommodate a mix of affordable housing options, including RDP houses, social houses and private ownership options.
The area includes schools, green space and a community centre. One private development is the Legacy Hill Estate, which is owned by Calgro M3.
The mall is currently targeting an opening date in Q3 2026, around September.
