New York DJs open up about what they think of the South African sound, Amapiano.

The genre has been traveling across various borders over the past two years, and it’s been endorsed by superstars from different countries.

In a video that surfaced on social media, New York DJs spoke highly of the genre.

“I love Amapiano … When I first heard Ama, I never felt like that in my life. Amapiano for me felt very spiritual” one of the DJs said.

The genre triggered a thirst to learn more about African music in some of the DJs.
