South African hip-hop artist LaCabra has hinted at plans for a tour following the release of his debut solo album MR BULLY. The post-album period has seen the artist explore independent avenues for live performances, suggesting a new phase in his career beyond the studio.

In a post on social platform X, LaCabra wrote, “#mrbullytour with no label I know I can do it !”, directly signalling the possibility of a tour aligned with his album. The message indicates his intent to pursue performances independently, without the backing of a traditional label, while capitalising on the album’s momentum.

MR BULLY was officially released on 27 February 2026 and represents LaCabra’s first full-length solo project outside his work with the Qwellers collective. The 14-track album blends hip-hop, trap, Zulu rap, African pop, and R&B influences. Featured artists include A-Reece, Nasty C, Blue Pappi, Sastii, Lowfeye, and Mnqobi Yazo, highlighting a collaborative approach throughout the project.

Promotion for the album began weeks before its release with singles such as “Sala Kanje” and “Ballon d’Or.” The latter was announced in January 2026 as the album’s second single, arriving ahead of the full project to generate anticipation among fans.

Following the album’s release, tracks such as “The Vision,” featuring A-Reece, and “uMashwabede,” with Mnqobi Yazo, became available across streaming platforms. The album offers a mix of high-energy songs and reflective pieces, showcasing LaCabra’s versatility as a solo artist.

In addition to the album, LaCabra released an intimate documentary titled MR BULLY (Phoenix) on YouTube, providing fans with behind-the-scenes insight into his creative process and the album’s development.

The potential tour referenced in his X post could mark the next stage in the MR BULLY era. By organising independent performances, LaCabra may expand the album’s reach directly to audiences, further establishing his solo career.
