Kunye Records, the global Afro House platform founded by Shimza, announces Tiki Tiki 2.0, the lead single from a forthcoming EP reimagining the viral hit through fresh Afro House interpretations. The release brings together South African music icon Oskido and Congolese-Angolan vocalist Salima Chica, with production from Oskido, Argento Dust and Bun Xapa.
Inspired by the Lingala word “Tekita,” meaning “to shake” or “to tremble,” Tiki Tiki 2.0 captures the excitement of love through hypnotic vocals, rich African rhythms and contemporary Afro House production. The result is a vibrant record that connects Central and Southern African musical influences with a sound built for dance floors around the world.

Released via Kunye Records, the EP expands on the success of the original Tiki Tiki, delivering multiple versions designed for clubs, festivals and international DJ sets.
Oskido, one of Africa’s most influential DJs, producers and cultural entrepreneurs, continues to shape the global conversation around African electronic music. As co-founder of Kalawa Jazmee Records and a recipient of South Africa’s Order of Ikhamanga (Silver), he has spent more than three decades championing African talent and taking its sound to the world.
Speaking on the release, Oskido says, “This project is about celebrating African unity through music. ‘Tiki Tiki 2.0’ brings together different cultures and sounds, showing how Afro House continues to evolve while staying rooted in our heritage.”
Tiki Tiki 2.0 is a celebration of African collaboration, bringing together artists from across the continent in a release that reflects the global evolution of Afro House.
