Producer The Cool is officially celebrating Africa Day with the release of his brand-new EP, Made In Africa. The project arrives alongside the energetic lead single Mama Africa, which has already started gaining attention for its uplifting message and vibrant African sound.
According to Producer The Cool, the EP was created to reflect the realities, struggles, and victories of modern African life.
“Made In Africa is an album that highlights the life of an African man embracing his culture while living in a global village,” the artist explained. “It explores African unity, identity, motherhood, prayer, love, struggle, money, and culture.”
Producer The Cool says the music was intentionally designed to resonate across the continent.
“The sound needed to resonate in Johannesburg, Lagos, Kampala, Nairobi, Lusaka, Maputo, Maseru, and Gaborone. It’s really a bridge between culture and modernization,” he shared.
The EP opens with a traditional clan chant layered over orchestral instrumentation before transitioning into Mama Africa, a club-ready anthem celebrating love for the African continent. Fans have already praised the song for combining dance-floor energy with authentic African storytelling.
The project continues with “Money,” a track exploring financial ambition and the access money can provide. “Honestly, who doesn’t need money?” the artist joked. Another standout moment arrives with “Mama Pray For Me,” where Producer The Cool openly speaks about vulnerability and emotional struggle through the lyrics: “Mama I’m feeling down, down and under, keep me in your prayers.”
The EP then transitions into “Qina Mfo,” translated as “Stay strong, son of Dube,” carrying a motivational message about resilience and perseverance. Tracks like “Jika” and “Money 2.0” bring a more energetic atmosphere to the project, with “Money 2.0” featuring a harder Amapiano log drum sound designed for clubs and festivals.
The project closes with “Cape to Cairo,” an anthem celebrating African excellence and confidence. “We don’t bow down. We are winners,” Producer The Cool explained.
